Portrait of Allison Gibson

I started The Table because I saw a gap that too many women founders have lived through, but rarely name out loud.

Hi, I’m Allison.

Starting The Table was a deeply personal choice. I wanted to create something I wish had existed earlier in my own journey - a trusted space to learn, to be supported, and to grow without having to justify or shrink myself. I want future generations of women founders, whether they’re in big cities, small towns, or remote regions, to inherit a landscape that doesn’t question their value, but recognizes their potential from the start.

The Table is my response to the leadership gap I see all around me, but it’s also an invitation. We all have a role in shaping a more inclusive future, and I believe that when women succeed, we all succeed. By pulling up more chairs and shaking the system together, we can build the kind of entrepreneurial culture that is not only more equitable, but more innovative, resilient, and just.

We often find ourselves working twice as hard for half the recognition, access, and investment.

I’ve experienced it firsthand. The rooms where decisions are made often don’t look like me, sound like me, or even make space for me.

I also saw what happens when women are given the chance to lead. Businesses grow, communities benefit, and whole ecosystems shift. But often, the support available to women entrepreneurs is fragmented or surface-level and provides short-term fixes that don’t address the systemic barriers underneath.

The Table was born out of a belief that change can’t happen in isolation.

Women founders like me need a place to come together with fellow leaders, mentors, funders, and allies to share experiences, build skills, and design solutions that actually work for us.

I chose the name “The Table” because it symbolizes what’s missing: A seat and a voice for women already doing incredible and impactful work.

It is also a play on the derogatory question women are often asked, “What do you bring to the table?”. The offerings of this leadership collective lean into my extensive executive leadership, advisory and entrepreneurial experiences and include:

Coaching & Leadership Support

One-on-one coaching and fractional executive leadership to help women founders strengthen strategy, build effective teams, and scale their businesses with confidence.

Inclusive Programs & Curriculums

Design and delivery of programs that provide underrepresented founders with practical tools, mentorship, and community support to succeed at every stage of entrepreneurial growth.

Community & Impact Initiatives

Events and volunteer opportunities that foster connection, promote economic empowerment, and drive lasting social impact through collective action.

How we do the work

The Table is reimagining how entire systems can better support women leaders.

Allison and Ashima
  • We’re creating programs and opportunities that go beyond theory. By leaning into the collective expertise of women leaders in our network, we are building learning opportunities where knowledge flows both ways and no one is left alone to figure it out.

  • Research that exposes inequities and opportunities is always happening so we can develop practical solutions and pathways forward.

  • Fostering community, is at the core of our collective ethos because we know that change happens faster and more sustainably when we invite diverse skills and lived experience to the table.

This collective was started to transform frustration into action, barriers into opportunities, and individual voices into a collective movement for change.

Welcome to the table.
